Bolt TUI Keybinds - Bolt

The Bolt TUI is designed to be driven end-to-end from the keyboard. This page lists the shortcuts you’ll reach for most often. For the exhaustive list, run bolt and open the in-app help.

Essentials

Keys	Action
`Tab`	Cycle to the next agent (`code`, `plan`, `ask`, …). The current agent is shown in the status bar.
`Shift+Tab`	Cycle to the previous agent.
`Enter`	Send the current message.
`Esc`	Cancel the in-flight turn.
`Ctrl+C`	Interrupt the current tool call.
`Ctrl+D`	Detach from the session (leaves it running on the server).

Modes

`--mini` mode

Start Bolt with a compact split-footer layout that takes up less terminal space, great for split panes:

bolt --mini
bolt attach --mini <url>

Push-to-talk voice

Hold the configured push-to-talk key to dictate a prompt using speech-to-text, then release to send. Configure the key and the STT provider in .bolt/bolt.jsonc.

Slash commands — /memory, /plan, /todos, /btw, and friends.
Sessions — detach, resume, fork, and share from the keyboard.
